Many organizations and companies offer Cedar Point discount tickets and more than one day is recommended to completely experience Cedar Point, Soak City, Challenge Park and
Castaway Bay.

Cedar Point recommends visiting on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, when attendance is lower. Contrary to popular belief, holidays such as Memorial Day and Labor Day do not result in unusually large crowds. The months with the lowest attendance are May, June
and September.

For Castaway Bay Marina Dockholders at the eastern end of Sandusky Bay, adjacent to Cedar Point’s Castaway Bay Resort, T.G.I. Friday’s restaurant will give boat lovers yet another location to drop anchor when visiting Ohio’s North Coast.
Cedar Point’s Castaway Bay Marina features 180 slips, including 32-foot double, 32-foot single, 40-foot single, 45-foot single and personal watercraft docks. Cedar Point’s Castaway Bay Marina also features amenities such as gated docks, fuel docks, full utilities – including telephone and cable television, dock boxes and more. Land lovers can enjoy a boater’s clubhouse, bathhouse with rest room and shower facilities and an in-ground heated pool with sun deck and picnic pavilion. Ride park passes are valid only at ride parks; water park passes are valid only at water parks. All passes issued by parks which do not have separate water park fees are considered

Cedar Point Amusement Park received the prestigious “Golden Ticket Award” for being named the “Best Amusement Park in the World” for a record eighth consecutive year in an international survey conducted by the readers of Amusement Today, an industry publication that covers amusement park and waterpark news and trends.

Millennium Force, Cedar Point’s 310-foot-tall “giga-coaster,” was rated the “Best Steel Roller Coaster in the World” in the “Golden Ticket Awards,” which are presented to the “best of the best” in the amusement industry as voted in an international survey conducted by Amusement Today newspaper.

The readers of Theme Parks Magazine rated Cedar Point as “America’s Favorite Amusement Park” in the First annual Readers’ Choice Awards. Theme Parks Magazine covers and reports on the amusement industry from a guest’s point-of-view.

Cedar Point was named the “Best Park for Thrills” and “Park with the Best Bang For Your Buck” in the Readers’ Choice Awards, presented by Theme Parks Magazine.

Cedar Point’s Millennium Force was named “Favorite Steel Roller Coaster” by the readers of Theme Parks Magazine in the Readers’ Choice Awards. The Magnum XL-200 and Top Thrill Dragster roller coasters were named No. 2 and No. 4, respectively.

Mean Streak, Cedar Point’s 161-foot-tall wooden monster was voted No. 9 in the “Favorite Wooden Roller Coaster” category in Theme Parks Magazine’s Readers’ Choice Awards.

Millennium Force and the Magnum XL-200 were tied for “Best Steel Roller Coaster” in a poll conducted by the National Amusement Park Historical Association. This is the second time in four years that both coasters shared the No. 1 spot. The Magnum XL-200 has occupied (or tied for) the top spot for thirteen of the last fourteen years!

Cedar Point was ranked as the “No. 1 Amusement Park in the United States” in the “U.S. Family Travel Guide,” published and distributed by Zagat Survey, in association with Parenting magazine. Cedar Point Amusement park also ranked No. 6 in the “50 Overall Top-Rated Attractions” category.

The National Amusement Park Historical Association, an international enthusiasts’ organization dedicated to preserving and documenting the heritage of the amusement industry, ranked Cedar Point’s Millennium Force as their “Favorite Steel Roller Coaster in the World.” Cedar Point’s Magnum XL-200 tied for the No. 2 slot and the inverted Raptor came in at No. 5 on the steel coaster list. For the fourth consecutive year, Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky was voted “Park of the Year” in the Coasters’ Choice Awards, an annual poll by CoasterBuzz.com, an esteemed Web site devoted to roller coaster and amusement park fans around the world. Fireworks!
Celebrate cotton candy, hot dogs, ice cream and roller coasters as Cedar Point Amusement Park lights up the sky with a Fireworks extravaganza beginning at approximately 10 p.m. Following the Fireworks at Cedar Point will be a nighttime extravaganza of light and sound that incorporates laser lights, pyrotechnics, music and images on a giant screen. The location for the display is directly in front of the Aquatic Stadium on the beach of Lake Erie (display will be fired over Lake Erie).

Hot Summer Lights Midway
Cedar Point Amusement Park will heat up its 140th season with the debut of a new nighttime show, "Hot Summer Lights." Cedar Point’s all-new sensory experience will showcase a combination of music, sound, light, video and pyrotechnics. The centerpiece of "Hot Summer Lights" is a brand new special effect called "FireWater." Cedar Point’s FireWater system features torch-like flames that can be choreographed to music and reach heights of 25 feet into the air. Cedar Point is the first amusement park in the world to use this technology. In addition to the new FireWater technology, "Hot Summer Lights" will feature images and video projected on the park's giant screen adjacent to Iron Dragon. Cedar Point Amusement Park’s Red Garter Saloon is located at the entrance to the Frontier Trail just past the C.P.& L.E. Train Station crossing and across from Millennium Force.

Though Cedar Point Amusement park doesn’t offer specific menus for special diets, many foods needed for special diets can be found throughout the park.

Beverages
All carbonated drinks at Cedar Point Amusement Park are Pepsi Cola products.

Cedar Point offers a variety of soft drink refill programs throughout the park. Refill containers are reusable throughout the season (container must be empty when brought back into Cedar Point
or Soak City.)

Milk is available at most major food units
and restaurants.

Cedar Point Amusement park offers non-carbonated drinks such as lemonade, iced tea or fruit punch at many locations along the midway.

Bottled Fruit Drinks and Waters are also available in restaurants, carts and numerous “in-park” locations throughout Cedar Point.

Bottled seltzers & mineral waters are available
at the restaurants.

Fruit juices are available at Cedar Point’s Coasters, Charlie Brown’s Cookout and
most restaurants.

Ice water will be given to guests upon request at all food stand locations but not at any of the wagons. Cups of ice are not given out or sold.
